Went to BCA jumping on Sunday nite. Well, where shall i begin. Three of us went, all jumping the 3' 3" open indoor x country (eeeekkkkk) Watced the course for a few rounds and what a twisty turny course it was. Anyhoooo, I said, once we walk it we will know where we are going.
Got ponios out to warm up and walk the course. Went to walk into the arena and the lady said - sorry you are too late, they are all coming out now. I pleaded to be able to walk the course, but she wern't having any of it. Oppps, I knew then I would get lost !! We were warming up lovely, my horse was doing some super work and jumping the pracise perfectly (bless him)
I then looked around and saw one of my friends on the floor. OMG, she had fallen badly and was injured . The short of a long story is, my friend got taken to hospital in an ambulance. I then went in jumping and missed a fence (silly sausage), my other friend went in and got eliminated at the treble (her horse never normally does this) and to top the lot I had to tow the horses home for my hospitalised friend in the dark in a jeep that i had never driven before. What a nite !! Ps friends shoulder has popped out of its socket backwards, youuuucchh. Hope we have better luck on our next outing. Things can only get better me thinks .
