So I went out horse shopping with a list of requirements … Iberian, school master , not grey or white . For working equitation.

I have literally been all over Europe looking (Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium )

I have just had a coloured (but mostly white) 4yo traditional maxi cob from less than 10 miles down the road vetted

AND HE PASSED!

I’m trying to explain myself to my husband (horse is not bay so might notice the extra in the field) what my logic was… and the only thing I can come up with is he is super forward and not at all spooky… but that isn’t seeming to cut it .. answers in a postcard please as I am not sure I understand myself but I just have a feeling he may well do everything I want him to do in style…

Pictures..........? Tell your husband your wish list was out of budget and this horse is a huge bargain plus transporting him home will cost next to nothing! I always told Mr EM that if a horse I bought didn't do the job it was bought for I could sell it on for a profit, thought he did eventually become wise to that and said "You never sell on!".

There is a lovely cob on facebook who does working equitation. 'the adventures of huckleberry pie' I think his page is called. He was at the Iberian festival of the horse recently.

Show your husband the video's on him, he (the horse not your husband) is very agile considering how wide he is.

oh and photo's please or else we won't believe you!

Awesome good luck when you start competing does he have a name are you okay with me adding you as a friend on here or do yo normally use instagram
I do post about him on here when we do exciting things, normally on the weekend thread.

Don't want to derail this post too much away from the excitement of a new horse

Well he has arrived my coloured Lusitano! The ladies are showing off to him already!😂

Well isn't he rather cracking? I deliberately drove home from Aldi past your place (for those who think I'm stalking, it's a major road past the viaduct and the same distance home but nicer roads) and I was really disappointed he wasn't in sight.
