So in readiness for moving yards for the first time in quarter of a Century I thought it wise to bolster up my confidence with extra lessons with miss.

Today I was supposed to be jumping but due to my anxiety over my Mum being in hospital I swopped to flat and asked Miss to ride my horse for only the second time since I bought the Great Lump 18 months ago. I felt he was slow and a bit stiff.

She had him going great guns inside 5 minutes and I watched this lovely forward going soft Great Big Lump floating around the arena with a pathetic grin on his face (or was it my face).
I wish I could take her with me she loves him.

Anyways I got on him and did some work and asked for a canter and oh my God exhuberant or what he belted off like a rocket.

I, of course, hit my panic button and locked my arms waiting to be bucked off but she interceded and 'indicated a requirement'(Shouted) to put my arms forward and just jiggle my fingers to remind him he had a passenger. he slowed down almost immediatly.

Unfortunatly as a result of this and seeing how well he went I have found it necessary to book yet more lessons!!

Are lessons so addictive do you think I should ask her to be rubbish so I can save some money??

Great news that you're figuring out a bit more about him each time though! Big well done

Yes, lessons are addictive lol. You get the occasional one when you think you wish you hadn't bothered, but then you get the next good one and it's amazing
