Oh dear - our DC would have a fit!

Jay, our baby horse has filled out a bit now and his girth is a little too short and he's getting a bit 'girthy' when struggling to do it up.

So, we put Manni's slightly longer girth on him, and he was fine.

however, this meant Manni had to squeeze his big grass belly into a shorter girth. I just couldn't get it to meet, sooooo

daughter sat on him (on the saddle) without it being done up - I legged her up. [hides head in shame] -- she did wear her hat and Manni is a real solid steady chap.

Method worked but wouldn't recommend it.

Off to the saddlers tomorrow to buy a new girth of the appropriate length.

Haha, we did that at kent county the other week as we could not for the life of us, get it on. But we had to as we had no other girth! oops.

Ha love it :D
I sat at pc taking the boys xc boots off sitting next to his legs with mine straight out infront of me in a small child fashion :o my excuse was that I couldnt crouch in my gaiters and wanted to sort him out before me
