Oops think Pidge was cruising for a bruising tonight

kept boys in today as weather was vile so got to yard tonight and mucked out and then gave them both a lunge. No one else wanted school so decided to let Pidge and Sunny have a play loose. All ok and the normal playing ensued. However Sunny lay down to have a roll and was having an itch on his front legs prior to rolling and Pidge decided to chew his tail

Sis yelled at him to stop so he did but he then put one of his front legs on Sunny's hindquarter as Sunny was still on the floor

OMG I was so embarrased

Any idea why he did this?
Think he will get battered by Sunny in the field tomorrow as Sunny is definately in charge normally and Pidge doesn't even feature on any pecking order

lol mine was banned from being turned out with one horse as he routinely pounced on him when he was rolling in the field, however he is normally a dominant horse.

He wasn't trying to be dominant (more than his life's worth

) so not sure what he was trying to do? Sunny wasn't bothered at all!

Don't worry, my boys constantly maul and paw each other, we change our mind weekly about who is the dominant one!
They are just being boys! I could honestly watch Sov and Emerald for hours on end, tis very entertaining!

Me too, think it's really nice when they play and yes could watch them for hours

Cairo is "broke" thanks to Chancer.

Problem is they have been barrel racing in the field and Cairo slipped. Cairo is also suffering from trying to keep up with a 3 year old and has rsi in his hind leg.

Chancer also likes to jump on Cairo.

They are now only allowed in the school together to gently play and groom where I can keep my eye on them and banned from the field together until the summer paddock is open.

It is nice to watch them playing but no more hoolies for a while.

Sure Sunny will forgive Pidge.

Casper used to be a nightmare when he was younger, poor ol' Harry used to want to have a good roll in the field...and Casper would take great delight in charging at him and biting his bum!!!

Thankfully he grew out of it!!
