I regularly pony one horse off the other, so today I set off, with two ponies mind, not even big strapping 16.2's 
ponying the little 'un (I think I would squish him)!)
Got halfway round and to a nearby farm that straddles the road, forgot that little 'un hates the dog there.
So I'm trotting merrily along when he halts, I slow and pony fully halts. Having not paid attention, lead rope naturally goes flying out of my hand.
Oops!!
So next thing I hop off and naturally the helpful farmer comes to make sure the dog isn't annoying us/do I need a hand on.
Cue ungraceful mounting up and red faced leading away little'un who had (in his great and mighty fear of the dog) simply settled down to eat the verge!
