Does anyone have land that comes under one or both of thee headings? The property we are in the process of buying has both, so in theory large parts of it could be traipsed over by anyone who fancies a stroll through the gorse and heather - and my proposed arena!
Solicitor doing the conveyancing is not much use, so I will be doing a pre plannong application but not sure if that will cover the open access aspect. I know you cant roam through gardens and parks, race course, golf courses or within 20 metres of houses or animal housing but arenas arent mentioned.

Any experiences or professional knowledge would be great.

the link shows open access areas in pink and they are all rough grazing - gorse, heather, granite outcrops

Or you could try the CLA (Country Landowners Association) I really wouldn't bother with an ordinary solicitor to answer your questions, they don't have the knowledge to answer
