Open Day Reports

The new edition of the on-line Horse Breeders Magazine is just out with some really informative and full reports on three recent open days - Hobgoblins Stud, the Billy Stud, and Brendon. There's also a very interesting interview with Leon Melchior, which I'm kinda bouncing about, as it not only describes the full sister to my yearling's grandam, Ratina Z, as being the all-time great SJ mare, but also mentions his sire, Amiro Z, as being one of his favourite current stallions. I have to say that he was a total pussycat when we visited him in his stable, but can't imagine that's a key consideration with Mr Melchior!

Thank you for the reminder - I have visited the site, and I have just one complaint that there are too many interesting articles to read at the one time

I like the very informative background to the Billy Stud Open Day and the views of the writer on all the stallions. Also the exclusive interview with Leon Melchior that "grand old man" of breeding that we all owe very much to in warmblood breeding on the continent
