I have been out cubbing 3 times this season & worn my tweed with a coloured stock. I am now going to the Opening meet & have been trying to buy a second hand wool jacket on e-bay, which isn't easy!

So for now do I wear my tweed or my black show jacket?

If I go for the tweed do I wear my white stock?

Any advice anyone?

You'd be fine and probably a lot warmer in your tweed jacket and a coloured stock then in a thin show jacket with white stock, having said that we seem to be experiencing a mini heatwave in East Anglia...

Don't wear a white stock with the tweed.

You can wear your tweed and a coulered stock i did this for years till i got a nice navy jacket. As long as you look smart the hunt won't mind. If your horse is sensable you could even offer to do gates. Gate shutters wear rat catcher which is tweed and that will also earn you brownie points which won't do any harm. Good luck and enjoy your hunting.

Tweed- as quoted it H&H last week tweed is never incorrect and its smart. I personally cringe to see the show jackets out on the field.

Also with the Oakley.
Hoping to be out cubbing on saturday... family permitting!
Have you been cubbing this season?

Hey kpup :)

I went out during the main season in tweed last year - sec assured me it would be fine, and it was. My hunt is very accommodating when you're a newbie, they just want you to have a good time, not to have to spend a load of cash!

I have just bought a Caldene hunt coat and it's come up really small and will have to return it :( so if you get one of those be careful!

Tweed also means you don't HAVE to plait :)
