opinion on stallion

I dont like Shackle, but I REALLY like Quackers field! Super little type of horse.
AND his sire Anshan has sired some advanced eventers!!
Also like the fact that he had a long and successfull racing career, and retired sound....

Ps
If you are looking for a TB stallion Special Addition has an excellant temperment but only stands 15.3 (though his sire Nickel King was bigger). He does have 9in of bone & evented & SJ'd, his sire was responsible for King William & Prince Panache. You will find his stud fee is resonable & if I had been looking at TB's he would have been top of my list. If anyone is interested email michaelaryde@hotmail.com or tel Michaela Pulman 01442 831181/01923 270123.

Yes I have seen him at shows, also I have known other Nickel King offspring as Tubs's nephew runs our yard. I was very keen on him for Mo, but I want something bigger, especially with it being her 1st foal. If I had not met Sponeck & fell in love with him I would have used Special Edition on Sas last year. Both stallions have temperments to die for & seem to pass this on. Sponeck just swung it because he was nearer, though not cheaper, & as I said I had fallen for him. Special is a very nice example of a TB.

This is Quakers fields 1/2 brother which would put me off slightly.
Conformationally anyway as he is a good racing sire.

and this is special additions eventing record.
special addition
If you click on search and then put stallions name in the box it will bring it up.

yes not too good conformation wise.
thanks

regarding special editions eventing record his owner informs me she lost her nerve after she had children but he hunts and team chases now and is turned out with geldings and mares so temperment wise is great.

Quite like the backend and doesnt have a bad front leg but for my liking and it is my view only for the type of horse i breed he is too straight in the shoulder and neck is set on to low.
As someone who has shown and competed i always look for a stallion with a good sloping shoulder and well set on neck.
There is nothing worse than going into a decent sized fence leaning downhill and wondering if the horse is going to pick up for you.

do you know which parent they share?
am i right in thinking they are only called 1/2 brother/sister if they are from the same mother??

edited to say sally you are a mind of information yet again thanks
don't know where you find all these things?

Yes they are only half brother/sister if out of the same mare so yes they share a mother.
I would like to say i have to much time on my hands but in reality i have always been obsessed with bloodlines and racing.
