Hi all, bridle advice / opinions needed! Looking for a black snaffle bridle for dressage, have looked in the local tack shops but they seem to just have the more basic ranges. Need soft, padded head piece and not too chunky a noseband. Prefer plain cavesson but can always have a flash removed. Prefer £100 - £300 and a little bit of bling is always nice : )

Esp want opinions on the Schokemohle bridles, Equipe bridles and Passier basic bridles, was going for the Passier Scorpious and then read a couple of things about the quality not being too great! On top holes of F/S Jeffries hunter bridle so also opinions of whether they come up big or small would be great too! Has anyone tried the GFS PDS Bridles? I like the look (despite being bit chunky) but £235 seems pretty pricey for GFS!
Really like the Otto Schumacher ones but would need persuaded that they’re great to part with over £300.
Could always just opt for good old Jeffries again….

Aargh I hate making decisions! Any help greatly appreciated : )

I like the heritage ones for newly started babies, only £40 :D

And I like the Albion comfort bridles for £185 for best..

I would have to research the other names you've mentioned!! Liking the prices :D

I got a Mark Todd one back before xmas - that has a padded head piece and has a detachable flash section of the noseband so it looks like a cavesson (and that's what I use for day to day riding) but you can attach the flash if needs be (I need it for jumping!). Not sure if suitable for dressage though as does have stitching detail. It was £120 - it's pretty similar to the John Whitaker bridles but a little cheaper as that included reins. The leather seems very nice and supple though considering it's brand new.

Stubben :-) mine was over 200 but it is jumping so am sure you would drop £ by losing flash etc. But padded headpiece, browband and noseband!! Gorgeous. And you can get really nice blingy browbands.

It always gets heaps of compliments!

Have a look at Matty Marlowe's website Heritage Bespoke Saddlery. I have jujst bought a double bridge from him with padded headpiece and its beautiful. They are not over priced and are really good quality. Take a look at the website they are also on E Bay but make sure its Matt Marlowe's site as there is another Heritage saddlery advertising on there.

Try Morgan Equestrian. I bought a lovely patent crank snaffle bridle for less than £100 at Burghley. Great quality and nice soft padding in the headpiece and noseband.
