opinions on buying horse stuff second hand - do you?

Yes. Not underwear or hats, & I don't buy ancient stuff that's cheap enough new like plain numnahs. I've so far only ever bought one second hand set of show stuff for daughter when she was 2. Given how little use kids get from it before they grow out of it, I just trade in the old for next size up in the local tack shops second hand section.
