Hi, just wondering if anyone has Equitector boots for wide calves? Do they look smart enough to compete in? And if they don't, maybe someone knows which wide calf boots DO look nice enough to wear them for dressage competition?
Need boots that are not the most horrendously looking, still designed for wide calves (my calf width is 44cm. Yeah, I know, fat:().

i just got some made to measure as the biggest size were too wide and gaped round my knees but the size down wouldn't do up (my calf is also 44cm) - did the measurement thing online and it said off the peg wouldn't fit me so got measured at Your Horse Live. I really like them - they definitely are smart enough to compete in. Wore mine for dressage tonight and plan to event in them.

Yes, def smart enough for competing. I got off the leg, hsouldve got them made to measure though as to get them big enough for my calves they were then huge in my ankle, even with the ankle pad in.

I have them made to measure...can't say I'm delighted with them.

Despite the fact I was extremely careful in measurements, they are too long in the foot (and I know others have found the same). I also found they dropped more than predicted, making them slightly on the short side.

I wear them for competition - they're my only boots and they do the job. I wouldn't buy another pair personally.

I have the fuller fillies field boots (they are slightly dantier than the show boots they do, if a 47cm claf like mine can be dainty!) and I wear them for both SJ and dressage - if it helps I have pictures of them in situ

I have Equitector made to measure boots - I have short and wide legs OP so you aren't the only one! Im very happy with them, have had them for 5 years and they still look good. Have used them for everyday wear not just for best and they've worn well. Just bought some Fuller Fillies ones for best and they are a good fit, the ruched back might not be to everyone's taste though.

I agree - good boots. My wife and I both have them - must be about 6 years old now and hers have had a lot of punishment and still go on. We got ours at a show and had them measured there. Fully recommend them. Apart from the made to measure wide calf bit they have foot protection but you wouldn't see it or feel it while wearing them, unlike some other brands. Great for shows.

Miss S Bird - why don't you contact Equitector and tell them about your issue? I found their customer service really good and speedy.
