Opinions on gel pads to stop saddle moving back?

I use the Gel-Eze clear one, its super sticky and really helped keep my saddle from going forwards (so I assume may help with it going back). I just use it alone with the saddle, no numnah or anything.

Might be worth getting a saddler out to check your saddle first - there must be a reason it's moving back. My saddle slips back because my horse has huge shoulders and slab sides, so I use a breastplate. Not ideal, but he's proving very difficult to fit, and my saddle fits him better than anything else we've tried!

Brilliant!!! Love mine. I saddle use to slip forwards by a good inch sometimes, depending on what work we done. I put the gel pad on between the saddle and numnah, and it doesn't move a bit! I had the saddler check the saddle, and he has said the saddle is fine, its just my boy is very down hill at the moment, and bum high, so suggested I used the gel pad for now.

Deffo worth a try but I'd get the saddle fitted with the pad as they can alter the fit, especially if you want to use a numnah too. My saddler advised I try one as my saddle fits well, it just moves a bit at the back in trot as the horse has a lot of movement.

The normal thickness gel pads were too thick and altered the fit too much - even without a numnah - so I ended up with a geleze thin pad which is only 3mm thick and a very thin cotton numnah which resolved the problem perfectly.
