Opinions on Kias feet

They look a lot better since they are now barefoot. On the first picture it looks like the heel that is at the top of the picture is a bit under run, so just keep an eye on that. I would take a little more heel off I think. You can see the growth lines of her feet from the side and they are moving under her.

Nice healthly frogs though, I would kill for that !!!
 
I am just looking for what might be needed inproved upon. as this is the first time I have made it this far with him the last time he was lame and the hoofs werent keeping up with wear.

I am getting the fronts taken off nxt week as farrier is due and he is on box rest for 6 weeks so no point in having shoes on and I would rather he was barefoot all round as I 'think' I can see a difference in his way of movement as well as the fact that its helping his arthritus.

It is most likely poo in the white line area as there wasnt any hoses available to scrub with and he was standing on the stuff I was picking out of his feet. His hard stand is right next to my midden as well so that might not have helped lol.

Do you think there is anything I can improve upon?? Any suggestions for the front as well as I was told that his frogs were contracted on the front and they wouldnt transition as well.

Should I expect him to be lame??

Hes on box rest so he shouldnt go lame. And haveing his frog on the floor will help with contraction.

NOT Really sure how having the shoes of can aide arthritis.. shoes arnt that heavy
 
He was very unhappy with having his leg in the shoeing position for the length of time it took to do a shoe

He eventually couldnt be hot shod so farrier cold shod him but even then he didnt want the leg up longe enough to take a shoe off trim and level/shape then anil a shoe back on.

He wasnt being violent with the farrier he would just take the foot off of him then clamly stand and refuse to give it again.

The trime he is getting is more to his liking and farrier feels happier thats he not making him uncomfortable.:D

I am hoping the frog in contact with the floor helps him even them out. SHoudl I get ready to pad him just incase??
