opinions on knee boots please

Can you please suggest knee boots that don't slip.
Now Brooke is getting on a bit, i worry about her tripping, not that she does much but it only takes once doesn't it. She's not bad but we ride a fair bit on gravelly type roads and would hate her to go down and make a mess of her knees.
I was looking at the shires westropp knee brushing boots. They look less likely to slip but not sure.
Suggestions and opinions very welcome, home made fruit scones with butter and raspberry jam just out of the oven for all helpful posts :D
 
I have westropp ones and they are ok, but not fantastic. I did do work experience on a yard where all the horse wore knee boots for all roadwork. Their boots didnt slip. I *think* they were jeffries leather ones. I also *think* they are quite expensive, like £80? Last ages though and are easy to repair etc. :)

p.s I am starving!
 
I've got the shires westropp ones for my mare and I really like them. She had a very nasty accident about 6 years ago where she tore up her knees so I became very precious about putting knee boots on her, but everything slipped down! The westropp ones don't slipp and also protect the canon bone :)
 
Jefferies knee boots! I've had the same pair for at least 15 years and they are still going strong! They never slip and are made of leather, they have a bit of give and as long as you keep them well oiled and cleaned, they are fab! I have no idea how much they are now and I think they were expensive back in the day, but worth it if you do a lot of road work! mmmmmmmmmmm let the scone fest commence... !
 
I have the westropp ones for my pony and they are the only ones I've used that haven't slipped down. Only thing I don't like about them is that the velcro does up back to front rather than front to back apart from that though there great and I find them easier to put on than normal knee boots.

Tried several others and they all slipped at some point during a ride.
 
I use the westrop ones after my mare went down on her knees a year ago! I like them because you can still have a blast with on! They occasionally slip round if I have a real fast gallop when out! They do come up big! My mare is 15hh with a bit of bone and she has cob size!

ps Ali, i have 16.2 tb (in sig) reasonably fine, do you reckon cob. Her other boots are all full but if the westropp ones come up big...?
