You could look to put some hard standing in the field rather than take him on the roads. I have concrete slabbed the entrance to one of my field shelters so every time they go in and out they do a little it of road work.
^ I will be adding hardcore to the track system when I set it up so hopefully that will help. Just need it to dry up a bit as its too wet to get a lorry over there at the moment.
