Hello all. i would love some people opinions on rolled bridles if possible?! the reason i ask is im a traniee saddler and am about to have a go at making one but am not sure on a few things, like what noseband to put with it? im rolling the browband therefore would people prefer a rolled noseband too? also is there a call for them? i personally have never thought of buying one for my horse but i dont think she would suit it. do people even use rolled snaffle bridles?

i seem to have lost all artistic inspiration so any help and ideas would be fab thanks

yes they do.
jumping people will want a rolled noseband too, with a flash strap, dressage people will want a wide padded crank flash (that is the most popular option anyway).

take a look at equiport for rolled jumping bridle ideas, and at passier bremen rolled bridle for the dressage style.

I have 2 rolled brildes one double and one snaffle, both have rolled browbands and nosebands and I love them both, my only criticism of them is they are a little smaller than they should be, one is a full but more like a cob and the double is X-full and more like a full, rolled bridles always seem to come up smaller than normal ones.

I have a rolled double (that I also use as a snaffle) which I love

Personally I prefer a non-rolled noseband, I think it would suit a wider variety of heads for a start, and having the option to have a flash is handy

thanks guys this is fab! i think im going to roll the noseband and have a flash with it. think this will just finish off the piece and show my skills for my portfolio as ive made tonnes of "normal" nosebands!

and thanks for the sizing eoe ill bare this in mind. mines going to be full size and im planning to sell it so the last thing i want is for it not to be the correct size!
