Hi everyone, just wanted to rant a bit really!!!

Why do some people comment on posts dissing whatever the person is saying or asking about. Ive noticed it quite alot - sometimes when discussing vetinary matters and behavioural issues, it is impossible to state every point and people imply that you are stupid because you havent done this or that - how do they know without asking??

Some people just seem to take the mick and tell people they are wrong. With horses there are often many answers to the same problem - nothing being right or wrong, just cos it works for your horse it might not work on mine.

It kinda reflects the equestrian community - there are so many people commenting on you, when they really wanna look at themselves!!!!!

Rant over.

I think generally, people are just keen to help

I don't think anyone means to be offensive on here (not usually, anyway!) Of course all things don't work for all horses, but that's the beauty of a forum like this - you can gather so many opinions and experiences and get new ideas to try.

Has someone upset you by any chance?! Unfortunately from time to time you do get people like you say but like jumpthemoon says I think people generally like to help. Everyone disagrees sometimes - it would be boring if they didn't!

I enjoy reading different opinions, it's always good to get another perspective

I think it's human nature. People have different opinions and views. Some voice them better than others.

The written word can be misinterpreted, you can't guage tone alot of the time from it.

It's the same on most forums, not just the horsey ones. Have a look on Ebay's community pages, Q&A board commonly known as Quarrel and Argue

BTW has the board turned blue for anyone else? Just the thread titles and member names.

I don't mind negative comments if they are put in a contructive way, but what does annoying me is when people start being b1tchy as that is unnessesary. People come on the forum for help, advise, to discuss problems with their horses, to share little victories like a good training session than noone outside the horsey community would understand. Surely when people start b1tching it takes thw whole 'feel good' & happy vibes thing away from the forum?

TBH I've not really come across any b!tching between forum members- a bit of good humoured banter - but not anything that would make me think OMG that's terrible. I have been on other forums where it has happened though and it does take away the happy vibes. It can sometimes get far too personal, especially if it's a heated issue

I've come across bitching on here (mainly at weekends lol) but I think the post the OP is referring to was intended purely to be helpful (I may have missed the whole point - sincere apologies if I have!). It is easy sometimes to mis-interpret posts and to take things the wrong way. It can get frustrating as well when people suggest things you know either won't work or that you've tried, but I thnk most of the time people on here mean well

Oooooooo I'm going to be on at the weekend then - love a bit of a bitch! Lol only joking I'm gonna get shot down in flames now!

I love coming on here!

There has been one occassion when I created a post, before I posted it I thought maybe it was a "stupid question" and tbh some of the replies did point it out!

It put me off and so since then I've only created the odd neutral post and stuck to chiming in on ones like this!

I think that I must of chosen a day when the witches were out because you lot are lovely!

Arhh xmasrach, you dont have to say sorry!

I felt exactly the same when I was on the receiving end of one or two not so nice unnessary comments. I only asked a simple question and I was made to feel stupid.

I've never bothered asking any more questions, I stick to enjoying reading others then chiming in on the neutral ones, which is such a shame.

What you should always remember is: There is no such thing as stupid question, only stupid answers.

I sometimes think that people can be a bit agressive, especially if you don't agree with them. That does put me off, but I do enjoy reading other peoples messages when things are kicking off. I enjoy a good b1tch.
