I did hear he has been sold and gelded but Quaterback is still around and available in UK through Elite Stallions. I may stand corrected though as Quaterline is still on Elite website but not 100% sure.

did he used to stand at Bockmanns? if its the one I am thinking of he was nice but I have seen better Q line horses since in terms of movement mechanics. I guess he has a pretty dual purpose element to his pedigree with Quattro having produced both SJs and dressages horses, but not a lot says eventer on paper. Dual purpose maybe, but would be interesting to see his test results to see how he scored in both sections.

He is out of the same mare as Bailarino who is newly graded and by Breitling W. The mare line is good, the grand dam is the dam of Quando Quando, international GP stallion and the great grand dam was a successful show jumper. If nothing else he should have a good chance of being sound and sane.

Thanks for those replys... I must say, if he's been gelded that really puts me off him, as I assume he won't be marketed as much/ be as commercial.

Does anyone know if Brockmanns has a website- it doesn't come up on google?

How would I view his test reports? I've just had a quick look on the Oldenberg website, but can't spot anything on there.

Thanks.

Thanks for that link.... some lovely boys on there, rather tempted by several of them  How commercial do you think the younger stallions on there are in the uk market though? I'm no expert (clearly!) but as I don't really follow European breeding, I'd never heard of them....

I was at the Bockmann stallion show a few weeks ago, so if there are some that catch your eye I can let you know what i thought of them if that helps any. I assume you are wanting to breed an eventer?

as for commercialility, I really couldnt say as the vast majority of buyers in the Uk will only know the really big names like Sandro hit or Donnerhall. So you just need to make sure your advertising of any foal really drums home what the sire has acheived, or bloodlines, in really simple terms. I think we breeders who spend so much time looking at pedigrees forget that most buyers dont know or dont care

a friend used him last year, 4 cycles and didnt get the mare in foal. Was a maiden mare but i dont think the semen was that great. You can get frozen i think but knowing what my friend went through i dont think i would use him.
