On looks alone I'd go for the K2 but it all depends on your horse of course.

I can't think why JW always makes his range looks so tatty and cheap though; those two colours together just shout 'tatty Indian rubbish' to me, even though I know the quality isn't too bad but bad memories of the original rubbish Indian tack that came into this country some years ago really puts me off; you'd think he'd have better marketing managers than that except they're probably too young to remember it!!

Have you looked at the Jefferies Hawk Event at all? Lovely saddles, well made and supremely comfortable for both of you; my choice every time!

I really really like the 'york' mono flap but I haven't got great reviews on HDR saddles ... most of them are ' it was like riding on a brick '

I tried a JW saddle on my pony. I have to say it looked cheap and not good leather, they are made in Italy by one of the expensive brands begining with P can't remember which one sorry. The saddler said you get what you pay for, they are well made but with crap leather.
Have a look at the Ideal Imparla I got a new 18" for £930 ish.
It all depends on the shap of Sol if he has a curve to his back then Albions are good, if flat Ideals fit.
The pony ended up with an Albion cc xc saddle which was the same sort of shape as the JW.
Hope that helps, finding the right saddle is a pain!

I have the K2 and love it. They are a bit hard to start with but when bedded in they are wonderful, they sort of mould round your leg!

Jeffries elite close contact.......LOVE IT, I havent got the most secure seat in the world and my mare mucks around ALOT (sudden spinning round, lurching forward, generally bouncing around!) I fell off alot in her old saddle and since we got the close contact about 6 months ago I haven't fallen off her yet!
Unfortunately I don't know what it looks like in tan as mine is black, but I'm sure its nice!
