I think so. May be just me but I think if you look at its shoulder etc and lack of any tissue that this is almost a welfare case.

Come on, what a load of rolloxs or do you like your growing three year olds that are going to be big horses like bullocks because if so that's the correct way to make the poor horse have problems with his limbs without a doubt. Don't talk so disparagingly about something that you don't seem to know anything about.

Sorry, it's not known for me to get my hair off with anyone but that really does take the biscuit for all round ignorance and I don't want anyone else thinking what you wrote is true for the sake of all young horses everywhere.

They need the right ingredients to grow properly but what they don't want is weight on their limbs and frames which could induce OCD - which could easily happen if this lad was carrying more weight particularly in view of his breeding; if he had been a TB I wouldn't have worried (or ranted! :o) half as much but both of those breeds involved are very well known for having growing problems if over fed, put the two together and there could be big problems if he's not managed carefully - as he seems to be.

That horse in those pictures is a perfect weight for his age, breeding and size.

OP, I like him and he'll be a different horse when fully grown; that's half the fun of buying youngsters! I'll now go back to read the rest of the thread before I nearly exploded, sorry about that. :)
