Well the decision has been made and our ponio is going to have to go on loan.
I haven't worked out an advert in 15+ years so opinions are welcome:

For Loan/Sale

12:3 Reg Welsh section C gelding 8 years old and has been a fabulous pony for my son and daughter but is now hopelessly outgrown. Has done PC activities, XC, SJ although low mileage as transport has been limited. He loves hacking, fantastic in traffic, lives in or out very good doer, hacks alone or in company.
For loan to 5* knowledgeable home only as been with us since he was 3yrs and is a much loved member of our family. However possibility of sale if combination matches well.
He's happy plodding around or just as happy out jumping and showing.
Nice natured, fully vacc. & wormed, Good to farrier, box, catch etc.
Comes with tack & rugs.

Also are any of these pics any good:

i wish i had a little jockey for this pony- he's adorable!! i'm sure there are dozens of lovely homes looking for this type of cutie pie!

If I could afford a second horse my 9 year old daughter would cut off her right arm for him!! OK so she wouldn't be able to ride so well with one arm! He looks gorgeous, best of luck finding him a suitable home!

Thanks for your kind comments. I am finding this all quite hard to come to terms with. If we had our own place we wouldn't have to do this, I've actually been searching for a field to rent to avoid having to do this. But I know its best for him as he has so much more to give. My daughter started riding him when she was 5 and was hopelessly overhorsed as you can telll in the last pic.

Golly - this sounds like the ideal pony that everyone is looking for!

If you do sell him you could ask a lot of money - but clearly the home is the most important thing. With a pony this good, you can be very fussy about the home, and only let him go to the very best.
