I posted yesterday about a horse i was trying this morning. Well i have been and i really like her. She is very genuine, and a very sweet mare. Flat work needs some work tho.I have afew pics of her (not very good tho) also have video of me riding her shockingly bad, and she didnt mind. (dont know how to get video off the camera tho!
We are going back tomorrow, as novice friend whos buying half couldnt come today.

One with someone the same height as my friend just to see whether she would be too small for friend.

So come on what do you think??

She is the dealer (good friend) yes not dressed to ride, we just made her get on for a picture as she is the same height as my friend.

She is only 15.2/3hh so hence why we were worried she might be too small. (Jo my friend is 5'7', im only 5'1' so i have no problems!)

Well I event a 15.1hh and I'm 5ft 7 and don't look to big for her.

She looks lovely - nice type.

You wanted the truth so...... her shoulder looks a bit upright and her neck is a bit thick and heavy giving her little throat room. She also looks slab sided (flat ribbed). All of these will show up on her flat work as she may have difficulty flexing and being light on the hand. Slab sidedness doesnt leave much lung space etc and can be difficult to fit a saddle. It also usually means that they have both forelegs coming out of the same hole=brushing and little heart room. Saying all that, it depends what you want to do with her. Sory, I dont like her

. Mairi.

Thanks for all the comments good and bad. The main think is that she is quiet enough for a novice. She'll be BSJA, but mainly a fun alround horse.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near what they are asking for her, sorry. She looks like a nice natured horse and would likely make a decent little riding horse, but I would pay no more than £2,500 for her.

Good luck though.

Mairi is correct with the confirmation which in turn could lead to soundness problems depending on what sort of work you expect of her. The price should reflect that she does not have the best confirmation, is very light boned, straight backed & weak behind. Again with these things it is very difficult because the photo's dont give a good impression. The 1st two the angle is not that brill & the 3rd she is wearing boots, but she does look light boned what I can see in the 1st two. If she does what you want & the price is right then go for it.
