Nice but pricey. I would wonder if it had reached it's level and with £500 BSJA you will be limited to the bigger classes.
I don't know what level you compete at though so I may be wrong!
I have seen alot of horses like this at much less money

I know re BSJA, but I want to event mainly, and can still do the opens and amateur champs and stuff

I wouldn't want to go above novice/JRN, I want to be competitive at this level though.


Yes I am lucky to be able to afford this- this time last week we thought we wouldn't be able to spend more than £8k. Luckily our circumstances have changed for the better!
 
Lovely looking horse but remeber it is being ridden by a man so you may find it hard to keep together and it looks a tiny bit stocky for an eventer [ I like that sort] so may not have the speed xc.
Hope it ticks all the boxes because I do think he look lovely
 
Wow, that is a good jumping BE record (believe me, most I have seen BE have had shocking jumping records).

As for "horses are not selling" - sorry, totally untrue. Yard friend but her horse up for sale 3 days ago on Horsequest, big dun, done 1 intro BE, up for £9k and has been inundated....2 viewings, horse is sold.

Ooohh we saw the dun's advert and loved the look of it, but it was too big

Am going to phone up tomorrow and touch wood (if he loads in a trailer is the main issue! ) we will hopefully go and see him on Sunday; he only went up on the website today so hopefully unless someone is going to see him tomorrow then he will still be for sale.
We all really really really like the sound of him, absolutely perfect to a T for what we want, so fingers crossed

I would note that Toby Blake is a very good jockey, pro, so take that into account when looking at the horse's form - quite different to have that form with an amateur. He is particularly good on the flat.

It is good, solid form - I'm not mad about the photos, the forearm in particular (I always like to see it at/above horizontal). Good luck anyway

as Tabledancer, i'm not mad about the first photo in particular. i'd want to see it jumping on a looseish rein and see what it does with its knees, if it dangles them the way it is in the first photo, i would not ride it xc, and i'm not kidding. dangling lower forearm can be corrected, dangling upper forearm and not getting knees hight enough = no thank you very much.
i note that its early BE sj form was not so good, 24 at PN is a bad round... wonder how they've got it so much more careful, or if it is just maturity.
i think it's quite expensive for a horse with 1 point tbh, but if you get on well with it and it shows good style, great!
 
Think it's 2.4 at PN (if you were looking at the same round I was K) and poorer results were with the previous rider. But I still think it's expensive with just 1 point at N - hope you can do a deal if you like/want it.
 
wow, that is expensive for what the horse has done!

my eventer has an unbelievable PN record- 3 wins and huge number of top 3 placings.

he was great at Novice as well, very competitive, easy to ride with pony sense, would go off any stride and dressage judges loved him. he gave me masses of experience and confidence and took me around huge Novice tracks like Weston Park.

i have now loaned him out to an event yard where he takes the working pupils around PN events as he didn't have the scope to go Intermediate.
he is still managing top 3 placings at PN with pretty ineffective riders, and it says a lot for his temperament that he can 'train' so many riders and still come home with rosettes.

i only paid £4.5k for him as a 10yro and he would do JRNs with his eyes closed... (and he is a pretty grey too!)
