Opinions on this horse please.

Video won't play properly for me. Looks like a nice robust type - bit overweight.

Not sure about front legs - but could be the shadow of how she's stood up.
 
She looks nice whats she worth as much as you are willing to pay for her l bought a 3yo coloured in my sig for £1500 and she has good breeding and has done well in the show ring. Confo l not to good on lol :)
 
lovely example of her type, however one of her front legs turns out in trot and shes not the strightest mover. i do like her though :)
 
As a hawk eye lame spotter i'd say very slightly unsound.

Moves a lot like my old boy with ringbone.

Only very slight in this horse though- not noticeable to an untrained eye but would bet it was pretty lame with flexion
 
I wouldn't like to make a judgement on unsoundness based on that video. The youngster is distracted on the turn by the dog and then by the viewing gallery of cows behind the hedge and its very windy, making it difficult to hear the footfall.
From the brief clip, I like her, marking are lovely, she looks like a nice sort. If I could take another one, I certainly be interested in seing her in the flesh.
 
Looks unsound to me too i'm afraid :(

I find coloured horses so hard to value as the market is so strong. I would say £2k - £3k if she is ridden away.

The weight would worry me a bit TBH in relation to general soundness and future years.
 
I agree that she's overweight. Could possibly expect £900-£1200 once sound and dependant on breeding. Just a guess though! She has lovely markings.
 
Its really hard to assess her soundness from that trot up - the horse never really got into a proper trot, and it wasn't straight etc.

Generally looks a nice cob type - that sort do carry weight, but its easy to get off! They are usually honest types, and turn out well.

Unbroken and sound, I would say about £1200-£1500.
 
I don't think she is totally sound either as she has a head nod and on the trot back she isn't tracking up as well on the far side. However having said that the owner appears to have a fairly tight hold on her and she is not moving forward enough to be certain.Conformation wise it looks as though she is slightly pigeon toed.
 
Like her markings, ermine spots are always a plus in my book and her tail is beautiful.

I agree though, she doesn't seem 100% sound to me either.

I agree, actually. If she's near by, and your interested - worth a little visit.
 
I'd most certainly go for a visit. She looks a good sort, nice markings and yes overweight but nothing that can't be sorted. I can't comment on conformation (cos I know nothing) and yes agree she looks a bit unsound but that could be ochy unshod feet, bad handling or something more sinister, guess there's no way of knowing without a visit. Unbacked I'd say at the prices around here £1500 would be a good price for the seller, recently my friend got a backed coloured (very nicely marked!) 4 year old gelding similar type for £1300 so depends where you are in the country, but here they are going for nothing.

She belongs to a rellie of my OH who is a novice, and I thought she looked unsound when I first saw the vid but wanted to know that I wasn't imagining things before I said anything.

What should I say?

Tell her the horse doesn't look sound?
 
I do not think she looks "unsound" but that A) she is not really moving forwards enough into what would be her natural trot rhythm- as in woman leading is not running fast enough and B) she has alot going on around her

I like her
 
Beautifully put together. Really like her. Yes, she is unsound though, but I think the unsoundness is in her hocks.

I agree. Tell them to give the horse a better chance and do the trot up in more sympathetic circumstances and allow the mare to move properly.
 
Not sure about front action. Could be unsound or could be just the way it moves.
All you can do is go to see it and make a judgement for yourself.
Apart from that she looks like a nice sort, needs to loose a bit of weight mind!

I'd say she appears to be lame so they need to call a vet and or farrier to take a look at her before selling.

she appears more lame behind but is also 'short' in front... my initial thoughts were hocks / stifles behind but then as someone else sugested it could just be 'ouchy' bare feet or in other words, bruised soles. Hense my sugestion of a farrier. She is overweight - and given the cows behind I'd imagine she is on quite rich pasture. if this is restricted they may find her 'ouchy' feet stop hurting her as it will be the sugar in the grass causing it combined with perhaps walking over particularly stony ground.

Apart from that, she's a smasher and i'd say they would get at least £1500 unbroken and sound.... maybe put her up for a grand more and see. BUT I would put her on a strict diet and get her sound first.
 
if it were me, i'd snap her up! she's exactly what i look for in a horse... with regards soundness, no one can really say anything unless they see her in the flesh. She looks like a girl that isn't exactly overworked, and if she looks a little clumsy, it could be more to do with the fact her muscles aren't strong, especially being asked to trot on tarmac.

If I could have another one, I'd definitely be interested in taking my vet or farrier along to check her out... She definitely could stand to loose weight!

The most off-putting thing about her is the price... I'm thinking, only £1200? Perhaps then the owner knows something I don't know...

I'd pay up to £2000 for her... maybe even a bit more.

I agree that was my first thoughts. I am not keen on her movement at all. However she is a pretty lass and looks willing. I would not worry too much about the weight. To get a cob that size chances are she has some draft in her which will make her heavier. If you buy her you should be able to sort it out with careful management and exercise or keep her on a diet all her life, like Fany my draft horse.

No, she's totally genuine. I think, providing the unsoundness is nothing serious, she is far too cheap.
