Opinions on this horse please...

I think the canter pic has been taken at the worst possible moment, still considering the image Im not sure why it has been included! I would be concerned about a 7 yr old with potential that needs an experienced rider but that has done nothing as it suggests that it may be a handful. That being said he is very pretty :) and the short description and phrasing leads to me to make the assumptions above which may not be true, if you think he may be suitable give them a ring, ask more questions, and ask for more photos. If they talk about him as you feared; a fruit loop, then you have only lost 10/15 mins of your time :)

I think if he is genuinely green he looks a bargain. That canter will be fabulous - look how far underneath him he is stepping with that inside hind leg. He can't currently cope with his balance with such a big understep, but when he can that is just the kind of hind leg placement you want to give you uphill paces. He's brilliantly marked and if he was a hand bigger I'd go and see him myself!

By the way, the sale of goods act still should apply to this sale even though he is owned by someone other than the dealer selling him. They are acting as agent and they are selling him, not the owner, so you should have the same rights as any other horse that they sell.

i think he looks strong too - and the trotting stills appear like he is traveling quite fast, so probably very forward going. But i could be completely wrong :)

Not bothered about his markings as already own this -

So have my perfectly marked spotty

Your existing spotty is just gorgeous!

Ditto neck of advert boy and very powerful hindquarters too..probably a handful but depends what you would want to do with him I suppose!

Ditto also have a chat and get a feel from that. Keep us posted!:)

I genuinely think he is being ridden by a strong rider who has hoicked him up and in. I suspect hes very green in the school, but is being held together. I dont like the pics, but it wouldnt stop me ringing and going for a look see :)

I'm not too sure on him, he looks strong and backwards for his age and the fact that he is being sold on behalf of someone I would think it maybe was too much for them.

I'd call and have a chat then go with my gut from there to decide if I want to go for viewing

Just occurred to me..though he is being held together by rider, he does have a heck of a neck..and given his age and relative green-ness, perhaps he was a stallion gelded and backed very late...just a thought, could explain his strength, necky-ness etc

I agree with the above comments but also noticed from the pics he is being ridden in a snaffle so if he is strong im not one for gadgeting horses but not like you cant change. Although reads as though hes a little green I think hes lovely and at 7 theres still lots to play with!

His sire is Centaur El Cid rather than Cantaur so Appy & QH. I like him a lot I would wonder if he was being tuned up for sale and maybe a bit opinionated. Worth a look and a chat to the owner.

good looking horse!! i really like.
The only thing is it makes no mention of catching, shoe, box and in traffic. Get as much in writing as possible. I like loads!

Gosh! Everyone's sooo suspicious! Why on earth don't you just go and have a look and put all the speculation to bed? He's a lovely looking boy, and you really can't tell all that much from a still photograph. As for big necks and pullers, and steppy under hind legs: just go and see / ride the thing and tell us all

I think he looks gorgeous, I think the photos are ok, maybe the photographer is as useless as I am! A striking looking horse that seems a bargain, Good luck!

What a shame he's sold, he looked like he had great potential. Yes he looks green but his hind leg movement seemed fantastic and his paces were fairly uphill already. Anyway, plenty more fish in the sea and all that!

Well I can't mind them! All I can find is a lot of overpriced toot! Have been looking for ages - they are all up north and nothing down south

Faracat - I already have 2 youngsters - looking for a little project to ride now

This^^

Not sure why folk jump the conclusion that he looks strong, from the photos he looks like a dam good ride.

Look at the tension in the riders arms. However, I do think he is lovely and better a forward thinking young horse than a slug.

Ah well,Zoon, shame you missed out on having a look. Better luck next time.
