Opinions on this horse...

Big step up from Castle and he's not something small enough for you to get your legs around.

What about a connie, connie x or even some form of NF x type - you'll find one.

Oh no i didnt mean mans horse in that way... i just took the rider to be a man and i know friends horses that have come from men and havn't been the same with light ladies! Some don't ride as well from a man and his legs to a 13 year old 5'4ft... my horse is a 16'3hh and im a ladie!!

my daughter, 14.5 and 5ft 7 ish, went from a quirky 13.3 welsh to a 16hh IDxTB ex kings troop horse so probably only ridden by men..she weighs 7.5 stone so a lot of difference, the horse took the P constantly, soon learnt what made her get off him etc..he was going on the market every flippin week and we did reach a point where she wouldnt get on him..got her lessons off one of the pony club instructors and they have both turned a corner ,now his bucking ,little bronking fits she finds funny ( he isnt intending to get her off when he does it and only does it occasionally ) however he is still a lot of horse for her to hold together but as she is so long in the leg she needed a horse of this size to see her through.. but having said that she probably could have got away with a 15.2 ish size but a friend who is an instructor said she needed his size..as the others have said go for something around the 15 hh mark, you can always get a bigger one later if you need to

looks a lovely horse but probably too big!
Would disagree slightly with the 14.2 comments, you can outgrow them very quickly but it depends if you want to sell on in a few years or keep until you are well and truely too big. And what height you think you'll end up at!
Have a good 14.2 if your interested!

I kind of thougt that too, but maybe he hasn't done anything affiliated? Open is pretty big, right? Think up here you'd be paying 6K plus

I am 5'4 too and i struggle with my 16hh. To be honest hes built a lot bigger, but i just find him a stuggle to hold together. My legs dont quite make their way all the way round him, so its lucky hes forward going, otherwise engaging him would be a nightmare. I went from a 13hh to him, but he was 14.3 and 2 years old when i bought him so he grew as i got used to him. I would never have done it otherwise. You could always try him out- there is no harm in that, as long as you dont let your heart rule your head when you go and see him. Ask the owners about him and whether they think you would cope before you so go neither party wastes their time. But i would say, something around 15 to 15.2 would be ideal. Good luck!
