For such a young horse she seems to be going very nicely although she does look like she could take charge if not ridden by an experienced person. How old is you son and what does he want to do with her? She is obviously quite talented and looks well bred.

I think she is lovely! I would like to get up close and have a look at the hindlegs though. Something there looks a little weak to me - but appreciate she is only young and has some muscle to develop. Hard to make a judgement from the vid - but I really like her

She's not inspiring me from that video.
However with 4 months more work into her you may well have an improved horse infront of you, really depends how much they are asking and what you are wanting.

Tic tac I was thinking just the same that horse wanted to bolt into the hoizon i thought she looked uncomfortable however, my knowledge isn't as good as some other memebers so can't offer anymore...something wasn't right though

not taken with her jumping. would've been interesting to see her loose schooled over some fences to see if she jumps the same without a rider.
i feel the same as BBF about her.....and my knowledge not being as good as others.

Think she looks very gorgeous. Girl riding her seemed to handle her well. Guess it depends who's on board with one so young. Very good luck.

Some interesting comments...
Actually don't like the way she presents herself in the vid so worth having a closer look and a trial.
Can't wait to hear what son will say after sitting on her...

I actually quite like her. For such a youngster I think she's going well. Maybe been brought on just a little too quickly perhaps, and needs to go back a step or two? But will be interesting to see what your son thinks. Definitely worth a look anyway I reckon.

I dont like the way she is being ridden and her canter needs work but she seems to have a nice attitude and she's a really nice type

She's a nice mare but she doesnt look quite right behind - especially that right hind it looks quite stiiff. May just be a young horse weakness thing. May be a different picture in a another few months. Would have liked to have seen her loose schooled over some decent fences because no horse makes a nice shape over that size fence. Seems to have a very willing and sweet attitude.

My thoughts exactly. I think she's been beautifully produced - so perhaps worth a look.

Will be interesting to see how your son gets on and what he thinks of her.

looks a beautiful mare but doesnt put much effort into her work specialy her jumping
i agree with other people to she doesnt look right from behind
so i would reccomend a vet cheak before buying her if you do
if there is nothing wrong then i think she could turn out to be a really nice little horse with the correct schooling good luck

looks like she will be a real beauty, pretty face nice conformation but have to agree somthing wasnt right behind and sh wasnt quite tracking up definatly got a stronger front end . good luck tho

She looks downhill over the jumps - as others have said seems weak behind. I know she's young and it might improve with age/training, but having had lots of young horses which didn't make great jumpers and then a couple that did, I now always want to see them pinging with their hindquarters more, even when they're young.

It would be interesting to see her jump loose to see if she jumps differently when not held back by a rider. She looks to me as though she will just flatten, but could be wrong! She might have more respect for slightly bigger fences - she's almost tripping over the ones on the video. I don't mind them not making much effort over small jumps, so long as they look relaxed and they don't rush or pull.

She looks sweet but as said doesnt look right behind. However, may be a weakness think. As I own a horse with a weak canter very similar to hers, i would prob look for more power from behind in future!!

I thought she looked as though she could be strong and I didn't think she looked very happy in her mouth. I would like to see her loose jumping as somebody said to see exactly how much effort she puts in to a fence.

I think she is beautiful but she doesn't give me the wow factor.

Sorry I don't know what experience your son has or what he wants to do with her, which makes it difficult to say, but just going from the video, the ridder is quite careful, precise and controlled with her which is what you want when ridding a young horse and you might have a completely different horse on your hands if you did not do the same.
Ditto small concern about her hind legs, but would leave that to the vet to consider if I liked the horse.

I think she looked lovely but a little tight behind the saddle. She is only young so should fill out more. I was always told that a good SJ horse should have an arse like a butchers boy and a face like a lady and she does look a little light behind.

Agree with the question mark over the hind legs. Her jump in that video did nothing for me at all. Will be interested to hear what your son thinks if he does see her in the flesh.

Had a couple of youngsters in the past and that one that looked stronger behind from the start (RID at 6 months) turned out to be a superb jumper. The other looked like this mare at three and half and turned out to be more Eventer type. She looks weak behind to me, not stiff. Front end is stronger - maybe she has been fast tracked to sell as a jumper but she's not physically mature enough and that is why she is napping, cos she is finding hard.
She does`t look like she will ever develop that springyness that is needed for a top SJ, maybe just too dainty and light of bone. They are born with it, can't train it in, just have to work with what she has.
Can't remember what you want her for but if is SJ there are better ones around I think.
Lovely horse though maybe, just a smart allrounder.

I am no expert by any means but It's interesting reading the other posts as my friends horse moves in a similar way very straight behind and doesn't really bend her hocks, and doesn't track up, the horse in the video looks like it isn't tucking up it's back legs certainly over the last jump the black and yellow one, my friends horse has on going back issues!!

Thanks guys for all and some most relevant comments which comforted my first impression of the young mare (re hind legs)...Passing them on. Son is looking for an eventer btw...
As I said, don't really like the way she's being presented in the vid but I know son will know how to bring out the best (or worst ?

) in her.
Will def share his feedback with you after trying her next Monday
