opinions on this stallion

I think he looks pretty rough or it may just be a bad photo. Going on this photo though I wouldn't choose him

'pretty rough' are you looking at the same photo

He looks lovely. i love the way he carries himself and he has lovely limbs his topline is good and the neck comes out of the shoulder beautifully. I dont know much about 'coloured' horses in terms of markings but i love his markings! very smart boy.
I must say though that i couldnt think of a worse horse to keep clean! not only is he white but black as well, the dust on black is a nightmare.! I always admire people mad enough to turn out piebalds to that standard!
Just looked at the site again and also think the grey anglo is smashing too. They really will produce lovely offspring from all kinds of mares. the grey on say a warmblood would produce a nice eventing type but i must admit the marking of the coloured make him special

If you are covering a mare with no arab in her the stallion needs to be 25% arab so that the foal gets 12.5% to be eligable for PBA registration.
Obviously if the mare has arab in her then you add 1/2 of the percentage from each
So foal has to be 12.5 % arab to be on PBA register.

Funnily enough I'd spotted him and he was on my short list of stallions for Candlelite this year.

I think he looks stunning and looks to move beautifully. I would like to see a conformation shot of him stood up as well though.

As for his markings, personally they are a bit 'bitty' if that makes sense, but with my admittedly small knowledge of breeding coloureds, the markings you get are pretty random within certain limitations.
I.e. Just because the coloured stallion has a white tail, doesn't seem to mean that you'd get a white tail, or if the coloured has more dark than white, it doesn't seem to follow that you'll get the same in the offspring.

So what I'm trying to say is that his markings wouldn't put me off using him as a sire.

oooo dear......
i myself have been looking at stallions for poss 2 of my mares, and i've just had a nosey at their other stallions, and seen they are in Lancashire like myself, and now i am thinking overtime........
not keen on coloureds.....
the bay would be too big really for my 13.2, not sure for my other mare,
but the grey - now then, same height as my mare - so size wise fab.....

No conformation pic so I can't comment, very colourful though

which mare would this be for? Have you made up your mind for your chestnut yet?

yes the chestnut i suppose i just can't seem to make my mind up was going to go for a stallion by rock king the other day ,then i saw this guy and though mmmmm
i also like the other stallions too.

then i found another stallion today
balllintoger royal,by cavalier royale x penni diamond by diamonds are trumps,he is fairly local and owned by matthew wright who has high hopes for him
anyone heard of him?????

Must admit I think his markings are wonderful. I am not a great fan of coloured s- but he is very smart. I like the fact that he has so much dark colour. I am not 100 percent keen on his shoulder - but photo is a little dark - so might look different in flesh.
