Have seen two yards I like and while I have an idea of which I prefer, I would like to know people's opinions on what they would choose. It will also be my first horse as well so could do with lots of support!
Yard A:
- Basically full livery, you groom, ride and prep haynets and feeds
- £240 a month and bedding and hay extra
- Indoor school (ideal for this weather!)
- 24/7 summer turnout, alright grazing and natural field shelters but barbed wire fencing!
- Competitions within hacking distance
- Great hacking
- Busy yards, mainly kids with mums
- YO not very friendly
- 30/40 min drive depending on traffic
Yard B
- £130 a month DIY with jobs
- Friendly YO who is happy to help and experienced liveries
- Quiet yard with four other liveries
- 24/7 summer turnout, post and rail fencing but not a lot of natural shelter
- Great hacking
- Outdoor school but lunging not permitted
- 15/20 min drive
Thanks!
