We are at the point where Tess either needs her mane hogging again it's at the loo brush length and feathers clipping or allowing to grow out. Have been told it's up to me what we do with her now regarding doing it or not, so can i have honest opinions as to what you think suits her more ?

Thanks

Have not got a recent one of her clipped out properly but here is without feathers: ( P.s i know the saddle is tipping backwards , she has a new one now)

And hogged, so you will have to imagine them together :p

Im not sure what looks better, just at that stage where something needs doing :D

Thank you .

I never thought I would say this about a horse, but I prefer her hairy!

She is so pretty, I think it really suits her. Maintenance must be a nightmare for you though!

ETS I'd get rid of the moustache though ;)

:D Thank you, hm it is hard sometimes with those feathers, brushed with a comb daily and pig oiled to keep the scabs away.

Hmm, hard one. I like them hogged/clipped but I think that she looks better hairy. Would look very smart with it all off in the summer though imo.

Thank you for your opinion, that's the thing was going to grow it all over summer and if we were to hog her it would be in winter when she rolls in all the horrible mud and comes out looking like Bob marley.

Ets: She has no muzzy at the moment, she is such a pain in the bum to shave it off very good everywhere else just doesn't want to depart with her fuzzy facial hair ;)

I'm normally one for clipping everything off but I quite like her all hairy, perhaps with a slightly shorter mane bit she looks really pretty :) depends on your personal preference though and what you find easier to deal with!

She looks lovely hairy I think, plus it saves having to worry about fly protection in summer.

She looks alright hogged too, so I'd go with what you find easiest. :)

Thank you for your opinion, i am really tempted to keep her hair over summer now and trim it all off over winter.

Thank you for your opinion :) There is the advantage of that, will probably do the hairy beast over summer and nice and smart easy to do in winter when you get bogg pony :p

I like her better hairy - i think to carry off a hog they have to be handsome as opposed to pretty, & she's definately very pretty.:)

I know what you mean our farrier says she looks like a lesbian thug at the moment :D Not very PC at all, Thank you x

I normally prefer clipped and hogged too but I think the hairy look suits her better :)

Hairy it is ! Thank you for your opinion x

I'm generally in favour of hogging and clipping, but she really suits being hairy.

Thank you for your opinion :) x

Coloured heavy cobs = hairy
Solid cobs= clipped out and hogged
Lighter built coloureds get away being hogged!
Leave tashes on I love a horse with a tash!!

Yours looks good either I have to say but maybe not a hog just a pulled mane with clipped feathers??

Tash will have to stay to much hassle to get it off doesn't do any damage :P
Thank you for the opinion x

Beautiful lady with flowing locks :)

Thank you she is such a sweety :)

I prefer hairy :) though I always choose hairy over hogged - unless necessary :)

Well we originally had to hog due to her old owner not taking care of it and the mane being crispy and scabby  Thank you for your opinion

She suits all hairy best imo

Thank you :D

She does look nice clipped out but much better hairy!

Ooo thank you muchly :D

Hairy!!!!! Looks really lovely ( she said all jealous) :D

Thank you.... Hairy it is ;) ah that is so kind of you, she is my little gem
