opinions please, how far would you travel for the "right" yard?

Can I have opinions on how far you would be prepared to (or do) travel to the right yard in either time or miles.

It would be assisted diy so we would only need to go once a day with optional add on extras as and when needed.

30 mins max. That's 7 hours a week. That's a lot! Life is too short to spend it driving. Luckily mine are in the back garden now

Part up to 40 mins. Assisted DIY no more than 20mins.

At a stretch 20 mins drive. Luckily mine are about a 2 min bike ride down road at our buildings - I don't use the car as there's no point!

I travel 11 miles to my yard and have done for the past 8 years or so.

I sometimes look at yards closer to home but there is always a compromise so I guess location might as well be my compromise.

The yard is assisted DIY and it takes me 20+ minutes depending on traffic. I am also lucky to have a friend that I share chores with so mostly go once a day. I also work 35 miles from home with a trip to the yard adding 20 miles to that journey so on a double vist work day it I can over a 100 miles round trip!

Better get to the yard then..... my girl will be waiting for her tea!

Personally no more than 20 mins. I used to hate long drives to the yard when I used to loan. One would take me over 45 mins drive in rush hour, very frustrating! I'm now on a DIY yard that's 10 mins drive

I travel 50mins drive to my one pony about 25 miles, he is on livery but i do him 5 days a week. I only have to ride and muck out tho. I also have 2 on grass livery which i do on the journey to the pony.
