no idea if i have put the link up properly but im sure someone can let me know :)

ok what do you all think of this horse? and how much would you expect it to cost?

16.2/3hh dutch warmblood mare, 13 years old. bit of an allrounder, done a little cross country and a little bsja. fairly straightforward ride though can nap a bit.

thanks in advance :)

Can't decide if its lame up front in trot or if it's just because the rider is on the wrong diagonal that it doesn't look right.

Price? No more than £3.5k.

Sorry no idea on price.

She doesn't look right in trot:confused:, but like Quirky said, could be the rider, but her head is certainly not still.
Lovely calm jumper though:). What I'd give to have a horse that doesn't either drag me to fence or dive out the side (or both!)!

Agree about her head in trot- though a rider on the wrong diagonal can throw the horse off balance. A mare i used to know would nap if someone was riding her on the wrong diagonal...

Though she does look like a genuine kind.
Id say around £3k. Her age (13 right???) would stop her being more than that i think?! But shes a stunner and lovely and calm :)

How much is she actually up for???!

she has just passed a vetting so must be rider fault :) she does have a very small melanoma but doesnt put me off.

she is reasonably calm most of the time but does have her moments! jumps approx. 1.40 tracks at home! owner has had her for nearly 9 years so home is of most importance.

she is under 3k! lets see if anyone can guess the price :) i will reveal the actual price later xx

She looks lame to me, so I wouldn't pay more that £1000, as she could have potentially costly issues.

If she was sound and I was confident in her health I pay upto a maximum of £2400.

To me it doesnt look like she's lame, just possibly that the rider is on wrong diagonal and they could be fiddling around to get her to come down, this is what i think personally also she isnt really going forward so looks a little shuffly. I really like the look of her, no idea on price.

haha under 3k. well done you!

Most lameness comes from bad riding- i held back in the previous reply as thought the rider might be you....but it really wouldnt suprise me if shes completely sound.? Is she up to date with her teeth?

id guess around £2850?

Agree with the fiddling.

Its not rhythmical head bobbing, like you would see in a lame horse. I think everything wrong here is the rider. Orsomething simple like she might need a new bit or her teeth checked. Hes trying too hard to make her look good, when actually if he was softer she might go much better :/

she is probably the most genuine bargain horse i have found!

i dont know if maybe the rider was deliberately trying to keep her from being too forward but she is actually really responsive and forward if you ask her to be.

her teeth are due to be done and the flash will be coming off too

samantha - price still too high! :)

mm might help if the horse was actually ridden forwards, it's not even tracking up. Agree the head is not in a steady contact, if not lame must be rider fault causing it. Seems a nice enough horse that is genuine, willing and sane, but at 13, with melanoma in todays market, i'd say £1500-£2K max??? and that might be being optimistic!!

£2500???

I dont think its a high price at all :?

Where i am a 11year old mare that wont jump and hasnt done anything just went for nearly 5 grand. A 14.1hh pony is for sale for nearly 3 grand (also wont jump, has no history of anything etc etc. ) Another lady on my yard is selling some ponies she bought from the sales for around 2 grand. Both only just broken....

Yes id be concerned about the melanoma, but lots of grays have it and id make sure the vet isnt overly concerned. But at least its a problem you can see- there are much worse things that can happen inside a horse that you cant see!!!

I like the look of her, she seems very genuine, despite being hindered by the rider.
I'd like to see her moving along with more impulsion, that canter is very energy efficient ! and a balanced rider would make a world of difference.
Price wise, I wouldn't have a clue ? (pound sign ) 1750 ?
Kx

She is "shuffly" in trot but like others have said it looks like that's due to the rider rather than the horse.

She also changes leg in front every time she jumps, don't know if that means anything?

The trot is very conservative, not tracking up and rider is trying to get her in a shape by fiddling. I would like to see her loose schooled to see movement.

The canter is nice and rhythmical although would like to see a bit more impulsion at times. She jumps nicely at that height and is quite good at getting rider out of sticky situations.

I like her, I think she's a very sweet mare and would be a nice consistent jumper for someone

I agree with AliceFlapjack, the weirdest thing is going on when she jumps, she either does a quick flying change before take off or she puts both feet down together and then jumps!? Never seen that before but not sure it is a disaster.

Also agree she isnt being ridden forward, and would ask myself why!!!???
