2 unclipped horses, well rugged and stabled.

Would a couple of nights out well rugged with lots of grub hurt them?
It not on a whim, more necessity but want opinions to reassure.

I said no probs leaving them out, Ok change of order etc but wont HURT them. Was i totally wrong and giving out deathly bad advice?

?????????

mine goes out unrugged for a couple of days if i can only get up once a day with hay in the field and she has no problems , i personally think there would be no problems with it!!

Absolutely not!!!

Dont overfeed hard feed(if you are worried just add more beet to their feeds if they have it already),just make sure they have hay 24/7 and they will be fine!!!!

They will probably be warmer out as they can move around constantly!!

I have got 2 who are out 24/7, a 5 yo clipped ISH & a 34 yo unclipped TBxnative. Both rugged to death & on hard food & hay, both warm as toast when I check on them at 11.30 pm-ish.

It's not wet or windy atm, just cold so they seem to stay very warm.

Mine are out. My normally stabled horse is out and she has a low trace clip and is well rugged. Its cold but not wet and windy so yours should be fine. I agree with others that if they move around they keep warmer anyway. I also spread the hay out so they move between the piles.

Not bad advice at all. The horses will be absolutely fine so long as they are rugged up and have tonnes of hay.

They'll be absolutely fine. Our 2 girls are out 24/7, my gelding comes in because he gets mud fever, plus he needs more feed/hay than them as in much harder work but if he's out, they nick his feed! But he's allowed to stay out one night a week, which he loves and I make sure its when I am struggling to get there early the next morning or, like last weekend, when he was in Friday night, competing most of Sat and then competing again Sun, I left him out Sat night so he still had a fair bit of T/O.
Never done him any harm at all.
