Im riding this pony at the moment as the owner is too nervous on him after she had an accident just wanted to know how much weight you think he could carry, he is welshxarab and 4 years old

I'm sure he could carry quite a bit of weight being an arab x welsh. As he is only young though I'd probably not put loads of weight on him at the moment. Probably up to 10 - 11 stone but no more. Welsh ponies are very sturdy and arabs carry enourmous amounts of weight given their build and size.
I think it's important to consider the work being done and the ratio of the weight/experience of the rider etc as well. I wouldn't put an 11st novice on him, but someone who was fairly tall, so evenly spread weight, and a balanced rider, who was going to school him, then I don't see why not.

Ah good, im 5'7 and around 10st. I am an experience rider though and he doesnt seem have any trouble carrying me. Just wanted to make sure, dont want to put too much strain on him seeing as he is young. Needed to put my mind at ease =)

Yeah at only 4 I wouldn't put more than 10/11 stone on him either

I have a 13.2hh Welsh X Arab, and at the minute my boyfriend, who's about 10-11 stone is learning to ride on him. Mousey is 9, but he's had people at that sort of weight riding him since he was around 5
