I guess it depends on what you are planning to do? The Haflinger well schooled will go for prob £2,500 - £3K? The other looks like it may need a bit more work and needs to fill out and build up
 
If number 1 could be brought on to do something, I think they would have done it..as it stands it has done nothing and may have underlying vet problems. If sound and just a hack the price is right, don't assume it will ever do any more though.

I like no 2, looks a bit leggy and underweight for the breed but that might just be winter weight loss. Again the price is reasonable and this one is young enough to bring on.
 
I think number 1, may have previous issues or why else has it got to 7yr without doing much. Personally I'd go for something young, maybe broken but not shcooled. Then you will pretty much have a blank canvass, with hopefully no outstanding issues.
 
2 very different horses what are you actually hoping to do with them?

The second one is a very poor example of a haflinger - and probably at the top of its price range
 
Think i would steer clear of No1, to me it doesn't have very nice confirmation and doesn't look to have a lot of potential but that could just be the pics. Also as the others have said i would worry that it is 7yo and not done anything!! Its gonna take a lot more work to get it working correctly as you are going to have to undo other peoples mistakes first.

Personally i would look for something younger if you want to bring on a sell unless its just a case of getting it fit again.

Saw a nice horse the other day, 16hh 8yo mare had BSJA winnings of about £500, been jumping FH etc but was really unfit due to them trying to put in in foal for the past year and it not taking so they just wanted a quick sale as didn't have the time for it anymore. £2000ono!!! Something like that i would consider looking at.
 
I am not sure about nos 1, 7yo and done nothing is dodgy to me. As for the haflinger, I know of two that were imported from the continent where they have introduced some arab into the breed to make them a bit lighter in build. I am not 100% sure if this bit of info is right so dont shoot me down in flames, but because of this I have also been told they cant be registered in this countries haflinger society. If you plan to take this pony school it and sell it to as a show pony it may be worth looking into this before you buy.
Again dont shoot me if this is wrong, I just thought I would pass on what I have heard.
 
Depends on what your confidence levels are like! When I took on my 'bombproof' 14 year old TB, I actually brought a typical TB who was 8 years old! haahaa

He's been very testing but great fun - there is no such thing however as a bombproof TB unless you're riding it about 5 hours a day!

Ive got acfriend with a bomb proof TB. And genuinely so too.

I dont like either of them, thre are much better hotese out there for 2k Im afraid.

also that Vicky whatshername is the one who had the friesian cross one that napped very badly one week, ridden in a driving bit, and the next week had no known vices! So beware.
 
Why not look at a TB cross? That way you'd probably get something a bit more chilled but get the looks of a TB?

I just don't think that a 7 year old is never going to put a foot wrong - still a baby essentially.....I disagree that the TB isn't a nice looking horse - or should I say has the potential to look good. If you could get them down to a grand I'd say it would be worth trying out!
