what do you think of this horse? spoke to the dealer who is selling him and she said the woman they bought him of overworked him and he is stiff and will not pass a vetting, but thier vet has said with a break he will be fine, she is getting her vet to ring mine to have a chat, but in the mean time what do you think?

just thought might be worth having a look at, but my vet may think otherwise

seems very iffy to me, And there are no pictures of the horse being ridden? Was the reason he failed the vet because he was stiff? I would want a better explanation then that, and also an oppinion from my own vet

Wouldn't touch it.
Apart from the fact that I don't really like it (very pretty head but don't like how it's put together), my feeling is that if they genuinely believed that it would be fine after a break then they'd keep it and get more money.
And £1200 is imo a bit much for the risk you'd be taking as well as the possible vets fee's.

Walk away and dont bother.

If this really is an 8 grand horse they would be keeping it for a few months and making a serious profit.

I would keep looking if I was you as if they state he won't pass a vet on the ad but say he'll come right with time then why aren't they chucking him in a field and when better selling him for £8K as opposed to £1.2K now? Sorry just to me it sounds a bit dodgy.

He looks as if he has quite abit of muscle wastage in the last pic ( i think) ... Nice looking horse but I doubt I would touch it, if you where serious about it, I would be getting x rays done ... was it a hind leg that failed ? or front ?
