im taking my tb hunting on new years day.... iv got pretty good breaks iv raced him on beach in a big group and hrs been amazing and i always hack out in big grouos of 5 or more and do fast work... hes generally extreamly well mannered but cN some times tank but is controlable. he will happliy stay at thr back and nt pull much. he will stand about whike other gallop past while i dnt have reins......

do you think he will look after me hunting..

I would try and get out before then as the xmas and new year meets are usually very busy and there's often a lot of people out that don't normally hunt and it can be chaotic. I got carted off in a blood wagon as a kid when my pony was knocked over by an out of control horse.

Sometimes horses can act out of character too. Ex racehorses can be fantastic hunters and some of them aren't even if they are normally quiet. I had one at the kennels supposedly to be a hunt horse, was bombproof to hack and it gave the ex NH jockey who now trains p2p'ers and works with difficult horses a very hard time and didn't settle to the job at all.
