Opinions please?

Hi All, new to this forum and thought I'd ask for your thoughts Been offered this grey horse iv shown a few friends this short video and a couple have said they think it looks lame on the front and a few have said it looks fine? Just wanted others opinion before I waste my time travelling to see it? Unfortunately video is very short but opinions appreciated.

Ask the seller to video it being trotted up. You can't tell either way from a 7 second video of a horse going over a jump.

He looks very stuffy in front but as already said a clear video of trot up on hard surface would be a good starting point

What are you looking for in a horse? Can't tell too much from the video, other then he looks a pretty forgiving horse.

He's also carrying an unbalanced rider who isn't helping him out at all. He looks like a kind sort anyway. If you can get a trot up video and he looks sound I'd go see him.

Thank you I have other videos but it was in this one that some people were saying he looks lame so just thought I'd ask? I'm looking for something quite as I'm a nervous rider at times and just liked the look of how quite he was considering he had a really unbalanced rider on board. Thank you for all your help ?

i would like to know how other people could see he was lame with so few trot strides, if you like the look of him and he is advertised as the sort of ride you want then go and see him and see what you think. ask to see him ridden by his owner first before you get on and if you decide you want him, GET HIM VETTED!!!! and not by the vet that the seller recommends... if you get that far either ask your own vet to recommend someone if they dont cover the area or ask on here for recommendations for the vetting.

No idea. The only thing I would say is that is a big horse, poss 17hh. And whilst he may be as quiet as a lamb, that’s a lot of horse for a nervous rider.

Definitely wouldn’t rule him out, in fact it would make me more intrigued as he looks like he really took care of the rider despite not really knowing what he was being asked. I’d think more he was unsure if he was being asked to go or slow down which could be why he looks a bit bumpy. Get a viewing and a vetting.

He doesnt look sound to me. But its impossible to know for sure from that video.

There is nothing in that video that would induce me to suggest this horse was suitable for a nervous rider.

I don't think the horse looks lame just badly ridden and try to find its long legs. Looks quite weak muscle wise but nothing that consistent work wouldn't benefit. I think it looks like a good sort and worth a look if it was me.

I would want to see a video of it being ridden by someone that can ride before I decided if it was worth viewing.
