OPN and ON....times inbetween

Why is it that in the OPN classes and ON classes BE make your times so far apart and make you wait hrs for your SJing?

80% of the time i have my dressage then 3hrs wait to SJ yet every otehr section has it one after the other, its not a major problem but just wondered if there was any resoning behind it?

Have my dress tom at 9.18 so will have to leave at 5.30am

but m,y SJing is at gone 1pm!!

Same for pony club,
novice and intermediate have nice close times, but if you do the open you have dressage early and then a huge wait till showjumping (5 hours in my instance!)

We asked why we had such a HUGE gap, apparently they could only get the dressage judges for half a day. Surely they could of got one or two judges to start later?!

Possibly because you will have more pros in your section, who will have more rides, and entries secs like to get them to do each phase totally (ie all dressage, then all SJing etc) on each of their rides so they do not have to do 5 million changes of clothes? Thus leaving people like you to wait about as you need to go after them? Just a thought......

Maybe but its more experienced horses with amatuers in the OPN/ON mid season.

And there isnt any names tom, oh well will just walk the course at a leisurely pace! More time to get nervous though!!!

When I've got multiple horses they seem to try their hardest to get me to change my clothes as often as possible (on Saturday I had dressage, SJ, dressage, XC, SJ, XC!)

Maybe I have got the wrong surname....

I'm eventing this weekend and have 8.51 dressage on william, 14.51 dressage on lib, can't remember what time sj on william, then 17.51 sj on lib..... xc on sunday! Saturday will be very long and the weather isn't looking great!

It drove me bonkers when I was competing OPN too.

I'm in the ON on Saturday with HumungaHorse and mine are an hour apart, so maybe that means there won't be so many pros there on Saturday?

(I don't know why they've put me in the ON but am quite pleased as my dressage is in a long arena.

B has good times on Sun 3/4 hour or so between each bit.

Just off to walk course there now for Nov tomorrow so we can have another 3/4 hour in bed tomorrow!
