Not sure if I'm allowed to post this here although I'm not selling anything? Hopefully they'll just move it if not.....

Opportunity to compete lovely 16.2hh TB gelding ‘Scooby’
Has Evented BE (lower levels), Showjumps well and has won Dressage.
Generally laid back, straight forward ride, although is a little spooky and has some post-racing quirks on the ground (none of these are major at all and he’s very easy to do and deal with I will want a very experienced and sensitive rider)
I now have no transport and am desperately trying to save for a house deposit but would like the horse to still be out doing some bit and bobs (ideally eventing but doesn’t have to be) with the right person. I would accompany to events and this is in no way a loan/share agreement, I would continue to have sole care of the horse and work/school him at home –this is purely an opportunity to compete a nice capable horse and obviously ride/school in-between time as necessary.
Must have own transport and fund all competition fees and possibly (depending on work-load) contribution a small amount towards shoeing. Horse has all his own tack and competition/travelling equipment.
I love this horse to bits and would love to find the right person for him to have some fun with – that person must be an experienced horseperson and have competition experience.
If you think this might suit you then please PM me for more photos, details or a chat.

Why can't you be in Cheshire?! Lol Just what I am looking for.

Good luck finding someone - I should imagine you will be inundated!

It is possibly worth contacting Clissy Bleekman as although they will probably charge for her daughters to ride she can probably suggest someone in the area. I am trying to think of eventing friends still in the area (I used to live in Bradninch ;) ) but most were happy hackers with the eventers further spread from Cullompton itself. Louise Hutchinson is another in the area worth contacting after Clissy though obviously on the dressage front.

I'm not sure if there is anyone particularly competitive at my old yard (southern edge of Cully) at the moment but I moved about 3/4 years ago now so many new faces!

Hiya,

I have quite a lot of contacts eventing wise so have put the word out for suitable person. Were you at Sue Sheres? Hadn't though of there but may be worth a phonecall. Thank you.

Try Exeter Uni riding club... just make sure you ask what they do during holidays tho, as no use to you if they all wander home for 10 weeks over the summer!

Very good point. I went to Exeter uni and for a year I had a fellow riding club member come out and ride my boy when I didn't have time to ride two.

There are some very good riders in the club who can't take a horse to uni who would jump at the opportunity.

Their website http://au.exeter.ac.uk/riding/ has contact details on the page.
