Orange or Yellow High Vis for Mini?

Walks of our mini have finally commenced - I posted some time ago about our first walk but vet felt it was too soon to start walking for his feet, but we are getting going now! I bought him a high vis rug to wear (mesh) but it’s not a good fit so I am going to get one of these ones pictured instead.

The question is - yellow or orange? Huge decision, I know ? I thought orange might compliment his spots better? ? I wear a pink tabard and he has yellow leg wraps so maybe the orange is good for a contrast as well, but overall not as bright? B8EA058B-9FD4-45D2-ADC5-16503BF836FC.jpeg

PS. I do realise this is a completely silly topic but if you can't ask for pony wardrobe opinions on here then where can you really!

I'd go for orange just because I think I read somewhere that it's more visible than yellow.
Where did you find those rugs? I've been looking for something like that for my youngster for when we brave going on the road but all the ones I find have a hole for the saddle which we don't need yet.

Those are the mini ones but same sellers has larger ones if you look in their other items. The one I have currently is like a standard rug but it slips down over his shoulders (guess I chose a bad size) and actually one of these ones would suit us better anyway.

Thanks for the opinions!

I read somewhere that you need to clash with the background of the season. I have been wearing pink but zips have broken. I have just ordered yellow hi vuz exercise rig and tabard. Would have loved orange but couldn't find a reasonably priced rug with a big tail flap!

We have only a few rubbish bridleways and need to go on road to reach them, so mostly roadwork following by tracks between farmed fields. Roads and fields all pretty open, hardly any trees/hedges/shady areas. I mostly want traffic to see us easily and then dog walkers to spot us across the fields, since he is pretty dinky and cute and I think some dogs will take an interest.

We have a pink (or yellow) tail thingy as well and I can also change my tabard to be yellow, so maybe orange rug works OK since it would be our only orange bit of gear between us.

Thank you! I've been looking for them for ages, but all I'd managed to find were hi viz turnout rugs that he'd have overheated in.

Orange is not good for autumn .
That very much depends on the surroundings.

If you ride somewhere where orange foliage can form a backdrop, maybe. Orange is fine here all year round, yellow is useless in very bright sunlight, and all the utility workers wear orange (and I assume that's for a reason) so it's an orange vote for me.

Yup, I have orange all the year round for home hacking.
I carry pink and the yellow as well as orange in the box. Those all have reflective bands on too.

Just passed a chap cycling the opposite way to me driving. He was wearing a multi colour hi viz shirt. I purposely looked in my rear view mirror to see how far away I could see him, the only colour I could see when he was a fair distance away was the yellow!
