My horse ate a whole orange peel last night!

I was eating an orange on the way down to fetch her from the field and dropped it and on the way back up she stopped and ate it, all of it!

She is a bit of a dustbin but surely that can't taste good?

Even the dog doesn't like orange peel!

My old pony used to rummage though my backpack when I forgot to put it out of reach and eat my ham or bacon sandwiches   but then he was speshal!!!

Don't know about orange peel, but my OH and I were out for a hack on Christmas Eve a few years ago, when a lady came rushing out of her house brandishing two mince pies and wishing us 'happy Christmas'. I put my hand out to say thanks for the pie, but instead of coming my way, each horse got one instead!! They loved them - OH and I rode away laughing but a bit miffed - they looked lovely! :D:D:D

We save the orange peels for my horse, he loves them. He will also eat whole oranges, but it's a bit of a sugary treat, so he only gets them very occasionally (birthdays and Christmas ;)).

Last week, I managed to get him to walk into the sea by pointing out a floating orange peel - suddenly, the waves and seaweed weren't that scary at all. He did make a bit of a face, though - obviously salty orange peel was a strange taste :D

I haven't really offered anything out of the ordinary before, other than my 1st pony who used to share my ice creams and drink my vimto/lilt/coke straight from the can!

I'm now wondering what else she'll eat!
