Ordering from Equus. Beware.

Really surprised to see this thread, didn’t notice it in December, but I have used Equus from time to time and never had a problem, efficient and quick service and delivery even before Christmas when many companies were struggling.
Also found their prices competitive! Doesn’t sound like the same company does it, very strange.
 
I, too have had a bad experience with this company. They just sit on your money for weeks on end and when I asked them how long it was going to take before I will receive my order, they wouldn’t tell me.

The problem is that they are right at the top of a Google search.

There is some stuff in their small print which says ‘don’t contact us until 10 days have passed’.

It’s really not on, and I’m thinking they must be in some sort of trouble.

Yup, I ordered an item and it never arrived as they kept saying their shipment from Europe was delayed. They were very good with refunding when I said I'd like one, but if it had been a more expensive or urgent order I wouldn't have been impressed.
 
Yes, if they’re having problems it is a shame but they shouldn’t be dishonest and they really shouldn’t allow people to think they are ordering something that they have in their possession when they don’t, and in fact may not have for weeks or months.
 
I also had the same problem - ordered, not delivered, couldn’t contact them as the phone rings out. Wish I’d looked at their reviews before ordering. Now going though the process of trying to get a refund which they say will take 10-14 days. I’m day 10 and still no refund …

Can you go through PayPal?

You can chargeback through the bank if they do not refund you.
 
I’ve had to go through PayPal as well. I received an email from Equus yesterday in a lighthearted tone telling me that it can take up to 10 weeks for them to even receive an item into their warehouse, let alone fulfil the order!

There is no suggestion of any of this on their website and I’m very unhappy with the fact that they evidently think it’s ok to mislead customers who need these things 🤷🏻‍♀️
