Trying to trace info on a Orlov Trotter who was imported into the UK a few years back now. When Puk came into the UK he was an entire, not sure if he covered anything but he has since been gelded. At one point he spent time as a hunter. His owner is trying to find out more about him, but has drawn a blank as the stud book does not appear to exist anymore.

So are there any experts in the breeding forum, who may know or know of someone that can help?

If it was more than say 8 years ago, chances are he may have been imported by the russian horse society in Epsom, run by Reg and Ron. They shut up shop and moved to France, and as far as I know Reg had a hunting accident and was/is very seriously hurt a couple of years ago.

They imported lots of different breeds from Russia, Trakehners, Orlovs, budyonnys, dons, heavies etc, many were still entire and a lot were really bad examples, though there was the odd very good horse (I had 3 from them - one is Salad that I still have)

I haven't a clue who'd be able to help you now I'm afraid - sorry.
