Orphan Foal - we want to help

Very sadly yesterday we lost our orphan foal at only 2 days old.

We have half a bag of Horsepower milk powder and we don't want it to go to waste. If anyone knows of someone hand rearing a foal on the Horsepower foal milk, please let us know as we would like to donate the remainder of the bag.

We lost our mare and foal, and we know how much time, effort and expense it is to hand rear a foal, so we just want this left over formula to help another foal.

Just contact me if you know of anyone who needs this bag to help a foal out.

Would maybe Joanna Vardon be interested at the National Foaling Bank. Not sure how far away it is from you, nor how much it would cost in postage or maybe there is a stud farm or animal shelter/blue cross near you that would take it.

I am truly sorry to hear of your sad loss. One of the many pitfalls of breeding horses, but very sad. THank you for thinking of others at this time. RIP Mummy and foal. x

Such an awful thing to happen. I lost my mare 4 weeks ago to colic less than 24 hours after she foaled. Fortunately a foster mare was found for the foal. My thoughts are with you at this time.
