I've been flat out and have been meaning to do a post for the last week....

Wellllll the babies are 4 weeks old on tuesday and already absolute terrors! They're getting out of bed and pottering about, trying to 'fight' each other...growling and going at anything that moves...considering they only weigh a pound or so they're rather ambitious!

TP (Tiny Puppy) is 8oz's now, and is seriously the teeniest thing you've ever seen! He's about the same size as my 4 week old kittens to give you a comparison....He's plucky, courageous, so funny to watch as he's so tiny, incredibly confident, I think this is due to the assisted care he needed and the fact he's been handled so much more....

and a complete and utter ar*ehole to be honest!!!

Can I say that about a teensy puppy?

I mean it in a very affectionate way

He's very dependant on me to the point of crying if handed to anyone else, though I'm making an effort to get him socialised with other people now.

Oh and he's becoming a permanent member of the family

So TP will now be known as GP, as it sounds very similar, he was fascinated by the bikes when we watched them on TV the other day and TP apparantly is toilet paper....

Soooooo if anyone wants a terrier puppy come and see me lol they're owner refuses to have anything to do with them and I've taken her 'Do what you like with them' to mean that I'm now responsible for their rehoming.....

Thanks Box of Frogs....It's been a long, long month!

We're unsure as yet whether TP/GP has a visual impairment, he just doesn't seem 'right' though he could just be a little behind the others and still not focused properly. It's something that the vet will be looking into over the next few weeks. I'm absolutely amazed he made it tbh, I didn't want to give up on him, but he was so tiny, 3oz is just, well, nothing, really. He's still smaller than the others at 8oz but like the vet says, he's actually very nearly tripled his birth weight.

They're all just so funny, they do make me laugh. As much as I think of them, and I'm certain there'll be tears when the time comes, I can't wait until they're 8 or 9 weeks and can go off to some lovely homes. All I seem to do is run around after them, and now they get out of bed there's widdles everywhere! I keep meaning to pop them in the crate, but they seem so happy with their bed in the kitchen....I never get round to doing it lol

I'm sure all I do is mop floors, make formulas and mix puppy gruel lol

Thanks for the suggestion YorksG but I think GT will be fine with the others! I have a dippy dalmation and a 20 week old shih-tzu, so I'm sure he'll cope!

Hubby has a rottie but I think he'd be terrified (the rottie) he is of the shih-tzu, I don't think he can work out what it is...let alone what end's what lol He sits there staring with his head to one side, then runs backwards until he falls over if it so much as looks in his direction lol

We figured 'one more won't make a difference'.....strange but hubby said he could remember me saying that when got the first cat...and the second....and the first dog....and the first horse....

4 dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse, 1 pony and 2 ferrets later he said he'll start putting his foot down....I said when I let him....

Oh it's fun here at the moment lol

Oh yes, the multiple animal syndrome

Two dogs are better than one it's own (which I agree with) then one more won't make any difference, until you can't move for dogs, cats etc. lol. And we never learn

Well you need more than 2 dogs really....just in case you have to take one somewhere without the other

So really, what you're actually saying is that I need another horse or pony and another ferret....

Interesting....I shall pass your thoughts onto hubby, AFTER he's painted the kitchen though....

So pleased to hear they are doing well.

I can beat you in the multiplying animal stakes!

6 horses, 2 dogs (was 3 lost one last year)
1 very senile old cat (will probably get a pair of kittens when she goes) 2 ferrets, 2 hens, lots of goldfish, 2 children and a long suffering OH.

Ahhhhh you win Thistle!!

My 'moggie' is getting on a bit now, though is getting rather waspy in her old age rather than mellowing in her old age...My BSH is 2, coming up 2 1/2 and the ragdoll is 10 months. I always wanted a Ragdoll....I've been thinking about another but the logical part of me is saying I can't get another cat that cost more than my horse lol (though to be fair my horse was very, very cheap....) hmmm....

Maybe in a while, Poppy, my daughter, is just 2, so things get hectic enough lol she's no trouble as such, just really likes to 'help' so everything takes twice as long....

At least....
