Physio saw the horse tonight and recommends an orthopaedic exam by the vet. Horse is sound but has a sore back. Might still be to do with her old saddle, but seems worse rather than better.

Back / spine is excluded on her insurance. Any thoughts on cost? Will call the vets and ask. Happy to pay if it will help my horse.

(horse has had saddle fitter, teeth, new bit, osteopath, physio, regular schooling by pro rider - so hopefully ruled out easy things)

This probably won’t help much as I got my work up done in France; but my vet charged €30 per view for x-rays, no sedation, for the back, and I managed to get withers to lumbar in 3 views.

and as it was digital I got the results there and then

I’d imagine you’d be looking somewhere in the region of £200-250 for a consult, visit and X-rays (if they do it all on the same day). Maybe slightly more depending where you’re based, how many views they need to take, the visit charge etc. For just the consult you’re probably looking at more like £80-100 depending on the practice.
