Osberton accident

Just found this on ER, not sure if it has already been posted:

Claire Lomas Accident
Claire Lomas suffered a serious accident at Osberton Horse Trials on Sunday and was air-lifted to hospital. Riding Rolled Oats II in Intermediate Section E, Claire is understood to have collided with a tree whilst swapping tracks in a wooded section of Osberton's cross country course. The competition was held for 45mins whilst Claire was treated. She was then flown to The Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham with suspected spinal injuries.

Lets hope she is ok

When my sister was young one of her friends collided with a tree out hacking and sadly lost her life.
 
Have just had a text from a mutual friend to say she's had an operation on her spine and the next few days are crucial as to whether she'll get the movement back in her legs or not. Lets send lots and lots of good wishes her way. I'm going to go and see her tomorrow (if allowed) as she's just down the road
 
When i read about it earlier i was shocked.
Please send her our love, and tell her we are thinking of her.

I have everything x she makes a speedy recovery.
 
sw123 - heard the same too, she currently has no movement according to my friend who spoke to her aunt and as you said next few days are crucial. They may be moving her at the weekend dependant on the next few days...

Makes you realise how lucky we all are
 
That must be devestating. Having broken my back I have some idea what it feels like to not be able to move your legs. Luckily I am fully recovered.
I hope and pray she gets the best care and makes as good a recovery as possible. devestating.
 
I'm not going to get there today but having worked in the department where she is i can absolutely assure her family she is getting the best treatment she can, the trauma unit at the QMC is one of the best in te country.

Lets keep sending good vibes.
 
Tons of Good vibes to her for a full recovery.
I had a nasty accident colliding into a tree, horse ended up at vets I ended up in hospital in plaster. Not nice.
 
They're hopeful she'll get the feeling back and all being well will be out of Intensive Care over the weekend. Its just crucial times at the moment.

According to todays update from family its not looking great at the moment, in that the damage to the spinal cord is quite severe so taking each day as it comes but not sure she's going to walk again......

Hope your boyfriend is ok...
